Privacy

This is a static site. Apart from a traffic count, it has no interest in knowing who you are.

What this site collects

The Rays Music website is fully static: every page is generated before publishing. There are no accounts, no forms, no comment system and no backend of ours that could receive data. This site never asks you for a name, an email address, or any other personal detail.

The one exception is the traffic measurement described below: to know how many people visit, where they arrive from, and which songs get opened, this site uses Google Analytics, and the host, Cloudflare, keeps a cookieless count of its own. There is no other tracking, and no advertising tracking at all.

Cookies

This site's own code sets no cookies, and uses no storage such as localStorage to identify you. The small amount of JavaScript on these pages does three things: open the mobile menu, filter the song list, and load the YouTube player after you click. All of it runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.

Cookies here come from Google Analytics. It stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser (named starting with _ga) so that repeat visits from the same browser count as one visitor rather than one person. It contains no name or email address, and this site cannot use it to work out who you are.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. It records which pages you view, how long you stay, which site or search result you arrived from, and the rough type of browser and device. Google derives an approximate country or city from your IP address, but in GA4 the IP address itself is not stored in the reports.

These numbers are used only to see which songs are being found and which languages are being read, so as to decide what to make next. No advertising tracker is connected, and none of this data is sold or passed on to anyone.

If you would rather not be counted, any of these work: your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker, a private window, or Google's own Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. Blocking it costs you nothing here — every part of the site keeps working.

This data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.

Separately, the host of this site, Cloudflare, runs a count of its own (Cloudflare Web Analytics). It uses no cookies and does not track you across sites; it records aggregate numbers such as page views and referrers. It is there so that visits still register when Google Analytics is blocked or unreachable — which matters in places where connectivity is restricted.

YouTube videos

Videos on the song pages come from YouTube. Two things are done here to reduce tracking:

  • The player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced address (youtube-nocookie.com).
  • On load, a page shows only a thumbnail. The player is not loaded automatically — a connection to YouTube is made only once you click play.

In other words: before you press play, YouTube sets no cookies in your browser because of this site. Once you do, you are within YouTube's own service, and Google may set cookies and record playback under its own policy. That part is outside this site's control and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Video thumbnails are all served from this site's own domain, so browsing the song lists makes no image request to Google. A fallback path remains in the code, used only if an image is ever missing, which would fetch that one picture from YouTube's image servers (i.ytimg.com).

Hosting

The static files are served by a third-party hosting provider. As with any website, the host may record visiting IP addresses and times in server logs for security and operational reasons. Those logs are held by the host and are not used by Rays Music for analytics or to identify anyone.

External links

This site links to YouTube, Facebook and PayPal. Once you leave, those platforms' own privacy policies apply. In particular, payment on the support page happens entirely on PayPal; Rays Music never handles or sees your payment details.

Children

This site has no feature that collects data from children, because it collects no data at all.
